Every day for the past year, I've written a poem before breakfast. Some days are quick - others are slower than molasses on a winter morning. Somewhere around day 200, I hit a wall and the urge to write wasn't there. I started making time for creative play and boom: writing daily became joyful, not obligatory. Here's my playbook for making creativity fun, Be Right Back, 30 Days of Creative Play. I hope you have as much fun with these snack-sized prompts as I did.
Sometimes, you don't have a weekend. Or even an hour. You've got 10 minutes, and you want to do something creative. I've got your back. Thirty activities designed for you to complete in just 10 minutes, with whatever you have around you: pencils, pens, markers, your phone.
If you can make microwave popcorn, you can follow these instructions. They're quick, they're easy, and none of them take longer than 10 minutes.
Every day is different: some days you'll write, other days you'll draw. Every day you'll get out of your comfort zone and try something new.
