We're All A Little Weird

What's your weird? Is it the way you drive? Or maybe the way you walk. If you don't have any weird, I have plenty to share.

For starters, I  always put my right shoe on first. Before I leave my parked car, I always adjust the volume on the radio to reasonable '10' and turn off the air conditioner or heater, depending on the time of year. I have an almost physical reaction to the word 'colorectal'. Shudder. I hate wet food like biscuits and gravy or pancakes with syrup, but I love pudding. What's up with that?

We're all a little weird, to borrow a quote from Dr. Seuss.

Instead of asking questions of ourselves like, "why am I so weird and awkward?", maybe the question should be, "why don't I accept myself for who I am?".

When you're doubting yourself, try this instead: silently count to three, take a deep breath, and repeat after me:

"My weird is what makes me wonderful." (Click to tweet)

Repeat as necessary.
